BJP MLA Saroj Kumar Padhi launched a sharp political attack over the Rajya Sabha election, alleging that the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Congress have fielded a joint candidate despite their historical rivalry. Padhi questioned the political stance of the BJD and asked “Who is the real son of Biju Babu?” while criticising the party for allegedly joining hands with Congress. He claimed that BJD was originally formed in opposition to Congress but is now cooperating with the same party in the Rajya Sabha contest. The BJP leader made the remarks while reacting to the ongoing political developments surrounding the Rajya Sabha election in Odisha.
