Tension gripped Belpada village under Gania Police Station in Odisha after a dispute over reopening Belpada Primary School, which has remained locked for nearly 30 days following the death of a student. The school was locked by the deceased student’s family and residents of the same Sahi (locality) demanding action after the incident.

When villagers from Belpada and parents from nearby areas demanded that the school reopen for students, an argument broke out with the deceased child’s family members. The situation escalated as angry villagers entered Gania Police Station demanding that the school be reopened.
