Two Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault of Woman in Keonjhar’s Bhagalpur Village

Two persons have been arrested over allegations of sexual assault on a woman in Bhagalpur village under Joda Police Station in Keonjhar district, Odisha. The incident reportedly occurred when the woman was returning home during the Mage Parab festival.

According to the complaint, Shuklal Munda allegedly offered the woman a lift on his motorcycle to drop her home. However, midway he allegedly assaulted her. During the incident, another man identified as Basudev Gagrai reportedly reached the spot, threatened the woman and also allegedly assaulted her.

Based on the survivor’s complaint, Joda Police registered a case and arrested both accused. The two individuals were later produced before court after their arrest.
