Students and parents staged a protest and blocked the main road in Khannagar, Cuttack, alleging severe mismanagement and unsafe infrastructure at Utkalmani Smaraki Bidyapitha. According to the protesters, chunks of concrete have been falling from the school roof and several other irregularities are putting students at risk, prompting them to demand immediate construction of a new school building. Due to the road blockade, hundreds of vehicles were stranded on the route, causing major traffic disruption in the area. Our correspondent Biswajit Acharya spoke with the protesting students and parents, who voiced their concerns and demanded urgent action from the authorities to ensure a safe learning environment.
