ବାତ୍ୟା ପ୍ରଭାବରେ ଓଡିଶାରେ ବର୍ଷା ପ୍ରଚୁର ହେଉଛି । ବାତ୍ୟା ପାଇଁ ଭୂସ୍ଖଳନ ଡର ଟିକେ ଅଧିକ । ଅତ୍ୟଧିକ ବର୍ଷା ହେଉଥିବାରୁ ପାହଡ ଉପରୁ ବଡ ବଡ ପଥର ,ମାଟି ଅତଡା ଖସିବାର ଡର ରହୁଛି ତେଣୁ ଘାଟି ଥିବା ଅଞ୍ଚଳକୁ ସିଲ କରାଯାଉଛି । କଳିଙ୍ଗା ଘାଟି ରାସ୍ତାକୁ ବନ୍ଦ କରି ଦିଆଯାଇଛି । ଦୀର୍ଘ ୪୦ ଦିନରୁ ଅଧିକ ହେବ ଭୂସ୍ଖଳନ ପାଇଁ ଅବସ୍ଥା ସୁଧୁରିବାରେ ନାଁ ନେଉନି ,ଏହି ଘାଟି । ଭୂସ୍କଖଳନ ପରେ ଏବେ ବର୍ଷା ଯୋଗୁଁ ଅତି ଭୟକଂର ପରିସ୍ଥିତି ।
Heavy rain from Cyclone Montha has prompted authorities to seal the Kalinga Ghati road due to heightened landslide risk. Continuous downpour over the last two days in the Ganjam–Bhanjanagar area has loosened hill slopes; large rocks and soil are at risk of falling, forcing the administration to close the ghat road for public safety.
