Odisha Govt Approves ₹1790 Cr Water Resource Plan for Irrigation Boost

#ଜଳସେଚନ_ପାଇଁ_ସରକାରଙ୍କ_ବଡ଼_ଯୋଜନା
ଜଳସେଚନ, ପାନୀୟ ଜଳ ସମସ୍ୟାର ସମାଧାନ ଓ ଭୂତଳ ଜଳସ୍ତର ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇଁ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାରଙ୍କ ବଡ଼ ଯୋଜନା। ଜଳସମ୍ପଦ ବିଭାଗର ୪ଟି ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବକୁ ମିଳିଛି କ୍ୟାବିନେଟ୍ ମଞ୍ଜୁରୀ। ଆନ୍ତଃରାଜ୍ୟ ନଦୀ ସଂଯୋଗୀକରଣ ଯୋଜନାକୁ ଅନୁମୋଦନ ମିଳିଛି। ଏହି ଯୋଜନାରେ ୫ ବର୍ଷରେ ୧୭୯୦ କୋଟି ଟଙ୍କା ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚ ହେବ। ଜଳକ୍ଳିଷ୍ଟ ନଦୀ ଅବବାହିକାକୁ ଜଳସମୃଦ୍ଧ ନଦୀ ଅବବାହିକା ସହିତ ସଂଯୋଗ କରି ସର୍ବୋତ୍ତମ ଜଳବଣ୍ଟନକୁ ସୁନିଶ୍ଚିତ କରାଯିବ। ନବକୃଷ୍ଣ ଚୌଧୁରୀ ସେଚ ଉନ୍ନୟନ ଯୋଜନା ସଂପ୍ରସାରଣକୁ ଅନୁମୋଦନ ମିଳିଛି।

The Odisha Government has unveiled a major initiative to address irrigation needs, drinking water shortages, and groundwater depletion. The State Cabinet has approved four key proposals from the Water Resources Department, including the Inter-State River Linking Project, with an investment of ₹1790 crore over five years. The plan aims to ensure optimal water distribution by connecting water-deficient river basins with water-rich ones. Additionally, the Nabakrushna Choudhury Irrigation Development Scheme has been approved for expansion, targeting improved irrigation coverage across the state. These measures are expected to strengthen Odisha’s water management and agricultural infrastructure.
