The 77th edition of Bargarh's world-renowned Dhanu Yatra is set to commence on December 24, 2025, and will run until January 3, 2026. This year, the festival will feature fresh talent portraying key roles, including the central character of Kansa Maharaj. The selection process was conducted through auditions, with Bhubaneswar Pradhan emerging as the new Kansa, succeeding Hrushikesh Bhoi. The announcement was made by Bargarh District Collector and Dhanu Yatra Mahotsav Samiti President, Aditya Goyal, following a unanimous decision in a preparatory meeting.
