A second-year MBBS student from Odisha was allegedly gang-raped on Friday night near a private medical college in Durgapur, West Bengal. The survivor, aged 23, was reportedly accompanied by a male classmate when the assault occurred. Following the incident, her parents raised suspicions about the classmate's involvement, leading to his detention by the police. As of now, three individuals have been arrested in connection with the crime.
