ମଦ ନେଇ ଯାଉଥିଲା, କେନାଲରେ ଖସିପଡ଼ିଲା। କେନାଲ ଭିତରେ ଭାସିଲା ମଦ ବୋଝେଇ କାର୍। ବାଲେଶ୍ବର ଜଳେଶ୍ୱର ୫୭ନଂ ରାଜ୍ୟ ରାଜପଥ ବାଟ ଗାଁ ନିକଟରେ ପାଟ୍ରୋଲିଂ ବେଳେ ଏକ କାର ଉପରେ ସନ୍ଦେହ କରି ପୋଲିସ୍ ଅଟକାଇଥିଲା । ପୋଲିସକୁ ଦେଖି ସେଠୁ ଚମ୍ପଟ ମାରିଥିଲା ପଶ୍ଚିମବଙ୍ଗ ନମ୍ବର ବିଶିଷ୍ଠ ଏଇ କାର୍ । ପୋଲିସ୍ ଓ ମଦ ମାଫିଆଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ କିଛି ସମୟ ପାଇଁ ଛକାପଞ୍ଝା ଚାଲିଥିଲା । ତେବେ ବେଶି ବାଟ ଯାଇ ନପାରି ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣଦା ନିକଟରେ କେନାଲ ତଳକୁ ଖସି ପଡିଥିଲା । ଘଟଣାସ୍ଥଳରୁ ଡ୍ରାଇଭର ଫେରାର ମାରିଥିବା ବେଳେ କାରରୁ ୮ ବସ୍ତା ଦେଶୀ ମଦ ଜବତ କରିଛି ପୋଲିସ୍ ।

A car carrying illegal liquor plunged into a canal while trying to escape from police during a patrol in Jaleswar of Balasore district. The incident occurred near Batagaon on State Highway No. 57, when police grew suspicious of a car bearing a West Bengal registration number and attempted to stop it.

On spotting the police, the driver allegedly tried to flee, leading to a brief chase between the police and suspected liquor smugglers. However, the vehicle could not go far and eventually fell into a canal near Brahmanda.
