Dr Sumanta Kumar Patel, a medical officer posted at the *Community Health Centre (CHC) in Kaniha, Angul district, was arrested on charges of taking a bribe while performing his official duties earlier this month. According to vigilance sources, he was caught accepting money in exchange for official favours, leading to his apprehension by anti-corruption sleuths.
