କାଏମ ରହିଲା ୫ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥୀପତ୍ର, ୧୬ରେ ହେବ ରାଜ୍ୟସଭା ଭୋଟ୍ । ରାଜ୍ୟସଭା ନିର୍ବାଚନରେ କାଏମ ରହିଲା ୫ ଜଣଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥିପତ୍ର । ୬ ଜଣ ନାମାଙ୍କନ କରିଥିବା ବେଳେ ଜଣଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥିପତ୍ର ନାକଚ ହୋଇଛି । ବିଜେଡିର ସଂତୃପ୍ତ ମିଶ୍ର, ବିଜେଡି ଓ କଂଗ୍ରେସର ମିଳିତ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥୀ ଭାବେ ଦତ୍ତେଶ୍ୱର ହୋତାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥିପତ୍ର କାଏମ ରହିଛି । ସେହିପରି ବିଜେପିର ମନମୋହନ ସାମଲ, ସୁଜିତ କୁମାରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥିପତ୍ର ଏବଂ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥୀ ଦିଲ୍ଲୀପ ରାୟଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥିପତ୍ର କାଏମ ରହିଛି । ଗତକାଲି ନୋମିନେସନ୍ ଓ ଯାଞ୍ଚ ପରେ କାଏମ ରହିଛି ଏଇ ୫ ଜଣଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥିପତ୍ର।

Five candidates remain in the race for the Rajya Sabha election from Odisha, with voting scheduled on March 16. After scrutiny of nomination papers, five candidates’ nominations were found valid.

Speaking on the upcoming election, candidate Dillip Ray said he is hopeful of receiving “conscience votes” (votes based on individual judgment of legislators) in the Rajya Sabha polls. Ray expressed confidence in support from legislators during the voting.

Referring to his earlier political experience, Dillip Ray said he had contested in 2002 with a well-planned strategy, adding that around two months of groundwork had been carried out at that time.
