Daspalla BDO Treks 3 Km to Remote Village, Assures Basic Facilities

୩ କିଲୋମିଟର ପାହାଡ଼ ଚଢ଼ି ଦୁର୍ଗମ ଗାଁରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଲେ ଦଶପଲ୍ଲା ବିଡିଓ । ଗ୍ରାମବାସୀଙ୍କ ଦୁଃଖଦ ଅବସ୍ଥା ଦେଖି ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହେଲେ ବିଡିଓ। ପାଣି, ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ ଓ ବାସଗୃହ ସବୁଥିରେ ରହିଛି ସମସ୍ୟା । ନୟାଗଡ଼ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଦଶପଲ୍ଲା ବ୍ଲକର କୁଲୁରୁ କୁମ୍ପା ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ଗମ୍ଭାରୀଗଣ୍ଡା ଗ୍ରାମରେ ଏଭଳି ଅଭାବନୀୟ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ଦିନ କାଟୁଛନ୍ତି ଲୋକେ । ଗ୍ରାମରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୪୦ରୁ ଅଧିକ ଲୋକ ବସବାସ କରୁଥିବା ବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ପାଣି, ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ ଓ ବାସଗୃହ ଭଳି ମୌଳିକ ସୁବିଧାରୁ ବଞ୍ଚିତ। ବାରମ୍ବାର ଅଭିଯୋଗ ସତ୍ତ୍ୱେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ୟାର ସମାଧାନ ହେଉନାହିଁ। ଏହି ପରିସ୍ଥିତିକୁ ନିଜେ ପରଖିବା ପାଇଁ ଦଶପଲ୍ଲା ବିଡିଓ ଶରତ ମଲ୍ଲିକ ପାହାଡ଼ ଚଢ଼ି ଗ୍ରାମକୁ ପହଞ୍ଚିଥିଲେ। ତାଙ୍କ ସହ ଆସିଷ୍ଟାଣ୍ଟ ଇଂଜିନିୟର ସନାତନ ଭୋଳ, ପିଇଓ ମାଧବ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଓ ସରପଞ୍ଚ ଅଶୋକ ନାୟକ ଥିଲେ। “ଚାକିରି ଜୀବନରେ ପ୍ରଥମ ଥର ପାଇଁ ଏଭଳି ପାହାଡ଼ ଚଢ଼ି ଦୁର୍ଗମ ଅଞ୍ଚଳକୁ ଆସିଛି। ଗ୍ରାମବାସୀଙ୍କ ସମସ୍ୟାକୁ ଖୁବ୍ ଶୀଘ୍ର ସମାଧାନ କରାଯିବ ବୋଲି ବିଡିଓ କହିଛନ୍ତି।

The Block Development Officer (BDO) of Daspalla, Sarat Mallik, trekked nearly three kilometres uphill to reach the remote village of Gambhariganda under Kulurukumpa Panchayat in Daspalla block of Nayagarh district. He visited the village to personally assess the hardships faced by residents living in extremely difficult conditions.

With a population of over 40 people, villagers are deprived of basic amenities such as drinking water, electricity and housing. Despite repeated complaints, their issues remain unresolved. Accompanying the BDO were Assistant Engineer Sanatan Bhol, PEO Madhab Pradhan and Sarpanch Ashok Nayak.

Speaking about his visit, the BDO said, “For the first time in my service career, I have climbed a hill to reach such a remote area. The problems of the villagers will be resolved very soon.” The visit has drawn attention to the lack of essential infrastructure in the area.
