The Bargarh Dhanu Yatra, recognized as the world's largest open-air theatre, is scheduled to begin on December 24, 2025, and will continue until January 3, 2026. This announcement was made during a meeting of the Dhanu Yatra Mahotsav Committee, chaired by Bargarh District Collector Aditya Goyal.
The festival, which transforms the entire town into a live mythological stage, will feature dramatic reenactments of Krishna Leela and the legendary showdown between Krishna and Kansa. Preparations are underway, including the selection of new artistes for key roles, ensuring a fresh and engaging experience for attendees.
