Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has made phone calls to the survivor in Durgapur (West Bengal), her mother, and the Women’s Commission Chairperson. He also spoke earlier with her father. He assured her speedy recovery, support for her education, and that the accused will face prompt punishment under the rule of law. He pledged that Odisha government will coordinate with West Bengal to ensure justice.
