A shocking incident has surfaced from Chatikana Puruna Station Sahi under **Bisamkatak police station limits in Rayagada district, where a **5-year-old boy was found dead under suspicious circumstances. The child, who had been missing since yesterday evening, was reportedly murdered after his throat was slit. His body was recovered from inside a sack behind his old house, triggering panic in the area.

According to reports, the child’s uncle received a message from an unknown number demanding ₹4 lakh ransom. The sender also allegedly threatened the family not to inform the police. Investigators suspect the boy may have been kidnapped and later killed.

Police have detained one person for questioning and launched a detailed investigation to trace those involved in the suspected kidnapping and murder. The incident has created shock and tension among residents in the locality.
