Two bike riders were killed while another person sustained critical injuries after a Hyva truck hit their motorcycle on the Bhubaneswar–Puri National Highway near the Dandamukundpur Bypass. The tragic accident occurred when the speeding heavy vehicle rammed into the bike, leading to the death of two riders on the spot.

The critically injured person was immediately rescued and shifted to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar for treatment. Authorities have not yet confirmed the identities of the deceased victims.

The incident has once again raised concerns over road safety on the busy Bhubaneswar–Puri highway stretch, which witnesses heavy vehicular movement every day.
