Thousands Gather at Konark’s Chandrabhaga for Sun Worship and Surya Ratha Yatra

ଆଜି ପବିତ୍ର ଶାମ୍ବ ଦଶମୀ। ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୁଷରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଛି ଘରେ ଘରେ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟପୂଜା। ପରିବାରକୁ ରୋଗମୁକ୍ତ କରିବା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ମହିଳାମାନେ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଅର୍ଘ୍ୟ ଦେଇ ପୂଜାର୍ଚ୍ଚନା କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଏପଟେ ପବିତ୍ର ପୌଷ ମାସ ଶୁକ୍ଳ ପକ୍ଷ ଶାମ୍ବ ଦଶମୀରେ କୋଣାର୍କ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରଭାଗାରେ ହଜାର ହଜାର ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧାଳୁ ଓ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଟକଙ୍କ ଭିଡ଼ ଜମିଛି।
On the sacred occasion of Shamba Dashami, widespread Surya Puja was observed across households, while thousands of devotees and tourists gathered at Konark’s Chandrabhaga beach in Odisha. From early morning, women offered arghya to the Sun God, praying for good health and freedom from disease for their families. Sun worshippers thronged the area to witness the sunrise at Chandrabhaga.
