Devotees Perform Ancestor Tarpaṇa at Lion’s Gate of Temple, Invite Elders for Darśan

ଶ୍ରୀମନ୍ଦିର ସିଂହଦ୍ୱାର ଆଗରେ ପିତୃ ପୁରୁଷଙ୍କ ଲାଗି ତର୍ପଣ କଲେ ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧାଳୁ । ଏହାପରେ କାଉଁରିଆ କାଠି ସାହାଯ୍ୟରେ ବଡ଼ ବଡ଼ୁଆଙ୍କୁ ଡାକି ମହାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦର୍ଶନ କରୁଛନ୍ତି ଭକ୍ତ।

In front of the lion’s gate of the temple (śrīmandira siṃhadwāra), devotees offered tarpaṇa for their male ancestors using ceremonial cow-dung wood, and then invited the respected elders (baṛa baṛuā) to have the darśan of the great Lord (mahā-prabhu) today.
“Standing before the siṃhadwāra, we honoured our pitṛ puruṣaṁka (male ancestors) and called the elders to witness the mahā-prabhu’s darśan,” said one devotee.
This ritual ceremony underscores the deep-rooted tradition in the temple where devotees honour their ancestors and seek blessings together, reinforcing community bonds and spiritual continuity.
