Women Likely to Join Territorial Army Soon as Pilot Project Begins

ଟେରିଟୋରିଆଲ୍ ଆର୍ମିରେ ସାମିଲ ହୋଇପାରିବେ ମହିଳା। ଭାରତୀୟ ସେନାରୁ ଏଭଳି କିଛି ବଡ଼ ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନିଆଯାଉଛି। ଯାହାକୁ ନେଇ ଜାତୀୟ ଗଣମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଖବର ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଇଛି। ଟେରିଟୋରିଆଲ୍ ଆର୍ମିର କିଛି ବାଟାଲିୟନରେ ମହିଳାଙ୍କୁ ପାଇଲଟ୍ ପ୍ରୋଜେକ୍ଟ ଭାବେ ସାମିଲ କରାଯିବ। ପ୍ରାଥମିକ ଭାବେ ଅଳ୍ପ କିଛି ବାଟାଲିୟନ୍ ରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରାଯାଇ ପରେ ଏହାକୁ ବଡ଼ ଆକାରରେ ଲାଗୁ କରିବାକୁ ଯୋଜନା ରଖିଛି ସେନା।

The Indian Army is reportedly preparing for a major policy shift by allowing women to join the Territorial Army. As per reports published in national media, the Army is working on a pilot initiative under which women will be inducted into select Territorial Army battalions. The project will begin with a limited number of units and may later be expanded nationwide.
