Odisha is reportedly moving closer to becoming Maoist-free as the Odisha Police Special Operations Group intensifies its operations against Maoists. Reports suggest that only around 30 to 35 Maoists remain active in the state. Security forces have warned that Maoists must surrender or face action. The Special Operations Group continues to conduct operations to counter Maoist activities in affected areas.
