Parts of Koida in Sundargarh district of Odisha witnessed continuous snowfall and heavy frost over two days as night temperatures remained below 5 °C, turning open fields, vehicles, and streets white, and drawing crowds of excited locals.

Locals are seen enjoying the rare winter spectacle, while the unusual cold has transformed much of Koida, Tensa, Kalta, Malda, and nearby areas into frost-covered landscapes that resemble snowy scenes.
