Dayal Chandra Das, an 80-year-old artisan from Remuna in Balasore, creates beautiful idols of Lord Jagannath using waste materials like cardboard, paper, and plastic. He doesn’t sell them — he donates every idol to others. His devotion and creativity have turned household waste into divine art, spreading the spirit of service and faith across his community.
