Members of the Odisha Women’s Commission, including Urmila Mahapatra, visited the crime spot in Dhauli in connection with the gang rape incident involving a minor girl. The Commission members first went to Dhauli Police Station to review the case and later conducted an on-spot inspection.

Speaking to the media, the Women’s Commission member said the incident is being taken very seriously and assured that exemplary action will be taken. She also stated that girls should avoid visiting isolated places at night and stressed the need for greater public awareness to prevent such incidents. She further highlighted the requirement for enhanced night patrolling.
