With the CBI probing the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination scam, nearly a year has passed since the notification was issued, but there is still no clarity on when the exam will be held. Lakhs of aspirants continue to wait anxiously. A few days ago, candidates staged a protest in front of the Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB) office, demanding immediate conduct of the examination and seeking the Chief Minister’s intervention. Legal experts have also opined that the government should not jeopardise the future of aspirants under the pretext of an ongoing investigation.
