Farmers in the Digpahandi Range’s Patpur section of Ganjam district, Odisha, are living in fear as wild elephants have repeatedly invaded fields and damaged crops for more than a month. The herd today entered Ambagan village, destroying standing paddy fields, banana plantations and homestead crops, resulting in extensive crop losses and distress among farming families.
