BJP MLA Saroj Padhi has publicly challenged the extraordinary security cover once provided to V. K. Pandian, asking bluntly: “Who is Pandian? Why was he given such heavy protection?” She demanded a full inquiry and warned of further action if the government fails to respond.

“As 18 months have passed,” Padhi said, “if there’s no investigation or action, then what is the point of speeches? We are ready for full probe.” Her statement underlines growing concerns over misuse of state resources for personal benefit.

This issue has already stirred controversy — as 72 security personnel were reportedly assigned to Pandian at the height of his influence.
