Villagers Protest Over Drinking Water Crisis, Road Blockade in Nilagiri Block

ପାଣି ପାଇଁ ତାତିଲେ ଗାଁ ଲୋକେ। ହାଣ୍ଡି, ବାଲଟି, ଗରା ମଝି ରାସ୍ତାରେ ରଖି ଅବରୋଧ । ଏଭଳି ଦେଖିବାକୁ ମିଳିଛି ବାଲେଶ୍ବର ଜିଲ୍ଲା ନୀଳଗିରି ବ୍ଲକ ମାଟିଆଳି ଛକ ନିକଟରେ ।

Angry villagers staged a protest over acute drinking water shortage by blocking the road with pots, buckets and water containers. The incident was reported near Matiali Chhak in Nilagiri block of Balasore district. Even before the onset of peak summer, the region is facing a severe drinking water crisis. As a mark of protest, locals placed utensils on the road, bringing traffic to a complete standstill. Vehicular movement on the Jaypur–Naranpur connecting road was disrupted, with vehicles stranded on both sides for hours.
