ଦନ୍ତା ଆତଙ୍କ... ଭାଙ୍ଗୁଛି ଘର, ନଷ୍ଟ କରୁଛି ଫସଲ ଓ ଧନସମ୍ପତ୍ତି। ଗାଁ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିଦ ହଜେଇ ଦେଇଛି ଦନ୍ତା। ସୁନ୍ଦରଗଡ଼ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ବଣାଇ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଏକ ଦନ୍ତା ହାତୀ କିଛି ଦିନ ହେଲା ଉପଦ୍ରବ ଚଳାଇଛି। ବଣାଇ ସମେତ ତlମରା, ବାଙ୍କୀ ରେଞ୍ଜର, ବାରଘାଟ, ବନ୍ଧା ଭୂଇଁ, ଆଦି ଅଂଚଳରେ ଉତ୍ପାତ ଚଳାଇଛି। ଦିନରେ ପାଖ ଜଙ୍ଗଲରେ ବୁଲୁଥିବା ବେଳେ ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟା ହେବା କ୍ଷଣି ଗାଁ ମୁହାଁ ହେଉଛି। କାହାର ଘର କାନ୍ଥ ଭାଙ୍ଗିଛି ତ କାହାର ଫସଲ ଉଜାଡିଛି। ପୁଣି ଘରୁ ଧାନ ଚାଉଳ ବସ୍ତା ଉଠେଇ ନେଉଛି ଦନ୍ତା ହାତୀ।

A tusker elephant has created panic in the Bonai area of Sundargarh district by damaging houses, destroying crops and property, and keeping villagers awake at night. For the past few days, the elephant has been active across Bonai, Tamra, Banki Range, Barghat, Bandhabhui and nearby areas. While it stays in the forest during the day, it enters villages in the evening, breaking walls, ruining crops, and even carrying away sacks of paddy and rice from houses.
