Today on the National Highway near Malatipatapur in Puri, Odisha, members of the Puri Bar Association staged a road blockade to protest the relocation of the Puri district court to a new site near Balukhand Wildlife Sanctuary, causing disruption for people travelling to Puri.

One traveller heading to Puri to see Samudani expressed frustration at being held up, saying he had been looking forward to his visit but was stopped by the blockade and could not proceed. His reaction reflects the inconvenience faced by commuters due to the ongoing agitation.

The protest comes as lawyers have intensified their agitation against the court relocation plan after nearly a year of demonstrations, arguing the new site affects accessibility and falls in eco-sensitive zones.
