The situation turned tense at Nayapalli Unit-8 in Bhubaneswar following the murder of Bablu Das. Family members and locals staged a road blockade by placing the body on the road, demanding immediate arrest of the accused.

Agitated protesters also burnt tyres and blocked traffic, pressing for justice. Police reached the spot and held discussions with the family members to bring the situation under control.

After police assured that the accused would be arrested within 15 days, the family members withdrew the road blockade and the protest was called off.
