In Chandbali block's Khurda market (Bhadrak district), locals including women staged a road blockade by burning tyres on the main road. The protest stems from yesterday's altercation where Sarpanch Jitendra Biswal allegedly hit some youths with his vehicle while passing, leading to an argument. The Sarpanch filed a complaint at the police station, resulting in one youth's arrest. In retaliation, protesters are demanding the Sarpanch's arrest for equal treatment, vowing to continue the blockade until he is detained.
