Tension prevailed at Puri Sadar Government Hospital following the death of a postpartum woman, allegedly due to medical negligence. The deceased has been identified as Rozalin Parida, daughter of Gangadhar Parida of Damodarpur village under Puri Sadar. After delivering a baby on the 10th of this month, she was undergoing treatment at the hospital’s Mother and Child Care Unit, when she suddenly died. The incident has sparked unrest among family members.

The family alleged that Rozalin Parida died due to lack of timely medical care by doctors and claimed that she may have lost her life because blood was not administered when required. The family has refused to take the body until the exact cause of death is revealed. Meanwhile, the CDMO (Chief District Medical Officer) stated that the exact cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem examination.
