Teacher Alleges Assault by In-Laws Caused Miscarriage in Kendrapara

A shocking allegation has surfaced from the Marshaghai police station area in Kendrapara district of Odisha, where a woman teacher has accused her husband Siddharth, along with her mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law, of physically assaulting her and causing a miscarriage. She has lodged a formal complaint at the police station.

According to the complaint, her husband allegedly maintained relationships with multiple women even after marriage. When she opposed this, she was allegedly subjected to mental and physical harassment. She further alleged that her husband and mother-in-law repeatedly assaulted her over additional dowry demands, and that the assault led to the loss of her pregnancy.

Police have initiated an investigation into the matter. However, no reaction has been received so far from Siddharth or his family regarding the allegations.
