Talks Fail Between Government and Millers’ Association, Protest to Continue Across Odisha

The meeting between the Odisha government and the Millers’ Association ended without any resolution, leading to the continuation of the association’s ongoing protest. The Millers’ Association has decided to intensify its agitation until the government provides a written assurance on the fulfilment of their demands.

As part of the protest, the association has announced the suspension of paddy procurement operations in all districts of the state. The decision is expected to impact the ongoing procurement process significantly.

Earlier today, a meeting was held between representatives of the Millers’ Association and the Managing Director of the Food Supplies Department, where various demands were discussed. However, the talks failed to reach a consensus, prompting the association to continue its agitation.
