'ଆମ ବସ' ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣା ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗରେ ପରିବହନ ବିଭାଗ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ସଚିବ ଉଷା ପାଢୀଙ୍କ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷତାରେ ବସିଥିବା କ୍ରୁଟ ଅଧିକାରୀଙ୍କ ବୈଠକ ଶେଷ ହୋଇଛି। ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣା ଏଡାଇବାକୁ ନିଆଯାଇଛି ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପଦକ୍ଷେପ। ଗଠନ ହୋଇଛି ୫ ଜଣିଆ କମିଟି। କମିଟିରେ ପରିବହନ କମିଶନର, ଡିସିପି, ଟ୍ରାଫିକ ଡିସିପି, କ୍ରୁଟ ଅଧିକାରୀ ରହିଛନ୍ତି। ପ୍ରତି ୧୫ ଦିନରେ ଥରେ ଏହି କମିଟି ବସି ଆମ ବସ ଚଳାଚଳକୁ ସମୀକ୍ଷା କରିବେ। ଡ୍ରାଇଭରଙ୍କର ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ଆହୁରି କଡାକଡି କରାଯିବ। ଡ୍ରାଇଭରମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ପରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଚରଣ ଉଚ୍ଚାରଣ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ତାଲିମ ଦିଆଯିବ।

In the wake of Ama Bus accidents, the Transport Department has introduced stricter rules to prevent mishaps. A meeting chaired by Principal Secretary Usha Padhee has decided on key safety measures, including the formation of a five-member committee to review Ama Bus operations every 15 days. The committee will include the Transport Commissioner, DCP, Traffic DCP and CRUT officials. The driver recruitment process will be made more stringent, and drivers will also undergo behavioural and communication training even after appointment.
