In a shocking incident from Patmunda Hatting, Koida Block, Sundargarh District, Odisha, Parbati Lagun allegedly sold her newborn son for ₹50,000. The baby was born on 31 August 2025 at RG Hospital, Raurkela, and was sold just two days later. The mother reportedly received half the payment (₹25,000) at the time of the transaction
