Special Story: Young life lost as car plunges into Birupa River, friend rescued

ସକାଳୁ ସକାଳୁ କାନ୍ଦ ବୋବାଳିରେ ଫାଟି ପଡୁଥିଲା ବିରୂପା ନଦୀ କୂଳ । ପରିବାର ସହ କାନ୍ଦୁଥିଲେ ଆତ୍ମୀୟସ୍ବଜନ । ଗୋଟିଏ ବୋଲି ପୁଅକୁ ହରାଇ କାହା ପାଟିରେ କିଛି ଭାଷା ନଥିଲା । କିନ୍ତୁ ସେହି ସମୟରେ ମୁହଁ ଖୋଲିଥିଲେ ଅନିଲ । ଯିଏ ଉଦିତଙ୍କୁ ବଞ୍ଚାଇବାକୁ ସତ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରିଥିଲେ ।
Early this morning a tragic accident occurred near Pandasahi Tuthura under Jagatpur Police Station, when a car travelling from Bhubaneswar to Cuttack plunged into the Birupa River. Among the five friends inside, 24-year-old Udit Narayan Sahu from Lingipur area went missing — his body was later recovered by fire-brigade divers. Another youth, Anshuman Panda, was pulled out alive and rushed to Cuttack Big Hospital in serious condition. The rescue operation, involving multiple fire-teams and scuba divers, lasted late into the previous night.
