ଦିନ ଗଡ଼ିଲେ ଏଠି ଭୟ ବଢ଼େ । ବର୍ଷା ଋତୁ ଆସିଲେ ଛାତିରେ ପଶେ ଛନକା । ଛତିଶଗଡ଼ ପାଣି ଛାଡ଼ିଲେ ଏମାନେ ଡରି ଡରି ବଞ୍ଚନ୍ତି । ଆଉ ଏମାନଙ୍କ ଜୀବନ ଜୀବିକା କଥା ନକହିବା ଭଲ । ଏ ହେଉଛି ଝାରସୁଗୁଡା ଜିଲ୍ଲା ଇବ ନଦୀର ଦୃଶ୍ୟ । ବ୍ରଜରାଜନଗର ରାଜପୁର ପଂଚାୟତର ଦେଓ ଗାଁ ଠାରେ ଇବ ଓ ବସୁନ୍ଧରା ନଦୀର ସଙ୍ଗମ ହୋଇଛି ।
Villagers in around a dozen riverside settlements in Jharsuguda district — including Deogaon, Katapali, Ganda-ghara, Remja, Sahupada, Telenpali, Itabhata, Talpatia, Duralaga, Jamera and Pudpali — are living in fear as monsoon approaches. They warn that once floodwaters from upstream are released, their homes may be submerged, as the banks of the Ib and Basundhara rivers have become dangerously weak.
