ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ଦ୍ରୌପଦୀ ମୁର୍ମୁଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଥମ ଯାଜପୁର ଗସ୍ତକୁ ନେଇ ଆଜି ବେଶ୍ ଚଳଚଞ୍ଚଳ ଥିଲା ଗଦା କ୍ଷେତ୍ର, ବେଦ ପାଠରେ କଂପୁଥିଲା ବିରଜା ମନ୍ଦିର ପରିସର। ହସ୍ତ ପଦ ପ୍ରକ୍ଷାଳନ କରି ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ସିଂହଦ୍ବାର ଦେଇ ସିଧା ପିଣ୍ଡ ମଣ୍ଡପକୁ ଯାଇଥିଲେ- ସେଠି ୪୦ ମିନିଟ୍ ଧରି ୪ ଜଣ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ପିତୃ ପୁରୁଷଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ପିଣ୍ଡ ବାଢ଼ିଥିଲେ ଓ ଶ୍ରାଦ୍ଧ ସାରି ପିଣ୍ଡକୁ ନାଭିଗୟାରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିଥିଲେ। ସେଠୁ ଫେରି ବିରଜା ଦର୍ଶନ ପରେ ମନ୍ଦିର ବେଢ଼ା ପରିସରରେ ଥିବା ଇଶାନେଶ୍ବର ମହାଦେବ ଓ କାଳଭୈରବ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ବି ପୂଜାର୍ଚ୍ଚନା କରି ବେଢ଼ା ପରିକ୍ରମା କରି ମୁକ୍ତିମଣ୍ଡପ ପଣ୍ଡିତଙ୍କ ଆଶିର୍ବାଦ ନେଇଥିଲେ।

The President performed pinda daan for her departed ancestors, including her parents, husband, sons, grandparents, and other forefathers. The ritual lasted approximately one hour, conducted with the assistance of four appointed temple priests.
