Tensions have erupted between Odisha and West Bengal at Digha as local Odia residents — from border villages of Bhograi block — threatened non-Odia shopkeepers, demanding Bengalis and others leave Digha. Odias say they have been looked down upon and insulted, and now have warned Bengali traders and migrants to vacate local shops within three days.
