A day after the Income Tax Department conducted raids on companies linked to the Confident Group, its Chairman CJ Roy allegedly died by suicide at his Bengaluru office on Friday. According to police, Roy shot himself with his licensed firearm between 3:00 pm and 3:30 pm. The IT raids reportedly led to the seizure of assets believed to be disproportionate to his known income.
