Anglo-Indian families who have lived in Odisha for nearly a century continue to share a deep emotional bond with the state, proudly identifying themselves as Odia. Closely connected to Odisha’s soil, water and climate, these families return to their native land every Christmas to celebrate the festival with their loved ones. Even today, several Anglo-Indian families are settled across different parts of Odisha, with over 60 such families residing in Jatni alone.
