In a deeply disturbing incident from Chandrapur district of Maharashtra, a young farmer named Roshan was allegedly forced to sell his kidney after failing to repay a loan of ₹1 lakh that ballooned to ₹74 lakh due to exorbitant interest and penalties imposed by local moneylenders.
