In a startling demonstration of modern surveillance potential, two students at Harvard University — AnhPhu Nguyen and Caine Ardayfio — have built a pair of “digital glasses” called I-XRAY that can expose a stranger’s name, address, phone number and full digital history just by looking at them. The device uses commonly available smart-glasses hardware (Meta/Ray-Ban), facial-recognition software and public data-scraping tools to instantly fetch personal information. The students say they are not releasing the code — their purpose was only to raise awareness of how exposed our personal data has become.
