A heart-wrenching story has emerged from Jammu and Kashmir, where a mother’s final appeal to her militant son went unheard even after her death. Jana Begum, whose son Riyaz Ahmad joined a militant organisation 15 years ago, repeatedly pleaded with him to abandon the path of violence and return home. In her emotional words, she asked her son to at least stay with her in her final days and carry her coffin after her death.
