A 100-year-old iron bridge built during the British era on National Highway 26 between Jeypore and Boipariguda in Odisha’s Koraput district is now in a dangerous state. Known as the Patraput Bridge, it was constructed in 1931 by the British government. Hundreds of heavy vehicles pass over it every day, often leading to long traffic jams, while the bridge continues to weaken.
