he Somnath Swabhiman Parv — a four-day cultural and spiritual festival at Somnath, Gujarat — has begun, featuring rich traditions and ceremonies to commemorate the temple’s legacy and resilience. Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Shaurya Yatra (procession of valour) is scheduled to start as part of the event programme. The celebration also opened with Vedic chanting resonating to the sound of damru (traditional drums) across the temple precincts.
