Lord Lingaraj remained without rituals even on the occasion of Makar Sankranti as temple rites continued to be suspended. The disruption followed a dispute between the Badu and Suar Nijog, along with issues involving the Bayata servitors. The conflict began on Sunday over the Kheera Auta ritual, leading to a standoff over who would perform it. Due to the dispute, rituals have remained stopped since the evening Sandhya Dhupa, and no Nitikanti has been performed till today.
