Right to Disconnect Bill 2025 Introduced in Lok Sabha to Ease Office Stress

କର୍ମଚାରୀଙ୍କ କଲ୍ୟାଣ ଓ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ସନ୍ତୁଳନ ପାଇଁ ସଂସଦରେ ଆଗତ ହେଲା ରାଇଟ୍ ଟୁ ଡିସକନେକ୍ଟ ବିଲ୍ ୨୦୨୫। ଲୋକସଭାରେ ଏହି ପ୍ରାଇଭେଟ ମେମ୍ବର ବିଲ ଆଗତ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଏନସିପି(SP) ସାଂସଦ ସୁପ୍ରିୟା ସୁଲେ। ଅଫିସ ଆୱାର ପରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧିତ ଫୋନ କଲ୍ ଓ ଇ-ମେଲକୁ କର୍ମଚାରୀ ଏଡ଼ାଇ ପାରିବା ନେଇ ଆଇନଗତ ଅଧିକାର ଦେବାକୁ ଏହି ବିଲରେ ପ୍ରାବଧାନ ରହିଛି। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନର ଡିଜିଟାଲ ପରମ୍ପରା ଭିତରେ କର୍ମଚାରୀଙ୍କ ଅଧିକାର ଓ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ସନ୍ତୁଳନ ପାଇଁ ଏହା ନିହାତି ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ବୋଲି ସେ ଯୁକ୍ତି ବାଢ଼ିଛନ୍ତି।

The Right to Disconnect Bill, 2025 has been introduced in Lok Sabha to safeguard employee welfare and promote work–life balance. The Private Member Bill was tabled by NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule in Parliament.

The Bill proposes granting employees a legal right to disconnect from work-related phone calls and emails after official working hours. Its objective is to reduce workplace stress and ensure personal time is respected in today’s digitally connected work culture.

While introducing the Bill, Supriya Sule argued that such a law has become essential to protect employees’ rights and maintain a healthy balance between professional and personal life in the current digital era.
