A heated discussion erupted during Zero Hour in the Odisha Assembly over freedom fighter and social reformer Rama Devi. BJD MLA Arun Sahoo urged the government to protect Odia identity and ensure due respect to all freedom fighters. Opposition Chief Whip Pramila Mallik alleged that the State Government has forgotten Rama Devi’s contributions. BJP MLA Irashish Acharya also raised similar concerns.
